Laws
The laws surrounding sex work in South Australia are contained in the summary offences act of 1953 and the Criminal Law Consolidation Act of 1935, making many of them nearly 80 years old.
Our experience of these laws is that they are unworkable, out of date with the rest of the country and harmful to sex workers.Currently most sex workers in South Australia are criminalised. SIN is currently campaigning to change the laws in South Australia, and we need all the help we can get, please contact SIN to get involved.
If you are a sex worker working in South Australia, please contact SIN for up to date information about the laws, your rights and responsibilities.
